Missions Month

Each October we set aside a season to focus intentionally on Christ’s call for us to participate in missions – local, regional, and worldwide.  We do this through guest preachers, as well as brainstorming about how to reach our community.

Missions Month 2015: Church Planting Focus

October 4th – John Shaw, “How to Pray for a Church Plant”

October 11th – Paul Browne, “How to Think like a Church Plant”

Christianity Explored

Periodically we run bible studies that work through the Gospel of Mark, using the materials of Christianity Explored.  These studies are an excellent introduction to who Christ is, what he came to do, and what it means to follow him.  If you are interested, speak to Pastor Sallade.

Vacation Bible School

Every July we host a five-day Vacation Bible School.  Activities are for children entering K-5th grade, and include games, crafts, songs, bible stories and more.  It’s a highlight of the summer for our church family.

Missions Night

Each year Calvary invites one of our missionaries to speak after a fellowship meal together.  This event gives members and friends a deeper appreciation of OPC mission work—both at home and abroad.
