Book Study

Fall 2017Reset: Living a Grace-Paced Life in a Burnout Culture by David Murray

Men’s study meets on alternating Saturdays at 7:30 AM at the home of Pastor Smith.  These book discussions are wonderful times of brotherly encouragement and mutual sharpening.   Donuts, fruit and coffee at 7:15 AM.

Past books we have read include The Mortification of Sin and Communion with God by John Owen, The Pursuit of Holiness by Jerry Bridges, The Screwtape Letters by C.S. Lewis,  Counterfeit Gods by Tim Keller, A Praying Life by Paul Miller, and Hide or Seek: When Men Get Real with God About Sex by John Freeman.

Accountability Relationships

In the spirit of “iron sharpening iron” (Prov 27:27), men at Calvary, young and old, regularly meet one-to-one for prayer, encouragement and accountability.  Interested?  Talk to Pastor Sallade and he will help.
